Children's Ministry
Our children's programming at Lakeview is centered around our Sunday School, which is held during the 10 a.m. worship service. We offer: Infant and toddler care with our dedicated child care provider; Preschool through 6th grade classes designed to bring the Bible stories to life with hands-on activities; First Communion program for 2nd graders in the spring; Bible Trek for 3rd graders — every child receives a Bible and a "Bible Trek" course in how to use it, in the fall; Hand bells for young children; Special events: These vary each year, but have included an Easter "jelly bean jubilee", Cincinnati Zoo visits, an annual Christmas play, mission activities, and more
Youth Ministry
Led by our Youth volunteers, we offer Sunday morning classes that encourage personal faith discovery through the Bible, group discussion, and activities. Confirmation classes led by the Pastor are available to 7th and 8th graders to prepare them for membership in the church. The Teens And Twenties group offers an exciting mix of social, mission and spiritual activities. During past years the group has attended Ichthus (a Christian Music weekend campout), participated in church mission projects in Kentucky, Iowa and Indiana.
Spiritual Growth Opportunities for Adults
Adult Sunday morning classes meet between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. each Sunday. These classes are led by members who have an interest in an area of Christian study that they would like to share with other members and friends of Lakeview.
Second Sunday Brunches
A potluck luncheon with conversation and a short lesson or discussion topic will be offered the 2nd Sunday of each month from September – April. Childcare is available.
Additional Opportunities
Various activities led by gifted members are held throughout the year. These activities include all-church retreats, women's spiritual growth events, adult retreats, men's breakfasts, and opportunities through the denomination for church camp programs for children, youth and adults.
